About:

The department of M. Com was started in the year 1981. It was the first Post Graduate course to be introduced in the college. The Course has around 91 students. The intake of 48 students per semester is as per the centralised admissions by Osmania University. In the last 26 years the staff and students of department have shown considerable progress in various fields – academic, curricular, extracurricular and co-curricular. Students and Faculty participate regularly in seminars. Other activities include interaction with subject experts both academicians and practitioners through regular extension lectures, participation in group discussion, team activities etc. Students are assigned projects in their area of specialization which is also a part of their curriculum.

Faculty Achievements

In the year 2018-19 Ms.G. Manisha has published a paper on the topic “A study on Food on wheels – Cost sheet of Dwaraka food truck”.
In 2017-18 Ms.G. Manisha published a paper on the topic “A study on Bidders satisfaction levels towards SBI’s electronic auction”. It was published in the journal M.Com project Report Digest.
In the same year Ms.D.Prassanna also published a paper on the topic “A project report on external SWOC analysis of Kharkhana Zinda Tilismath”. It was also published in the journal M.Com project Report Digest.

Students Achievements :

2019-2020

FDP on “ Writing research articles in High-Indexed journal at AV College on 25-01-2020 attended by Ms.D.Prasanna.

The Department played videos on “Ted Talk’s” by Nikhiya Shemsher(A Social entrepreneur), Kalpana Saroj(Indian entrepreneur) for students- in the year 2021-22.
The Department organised One day workshop on” Career readiness”- Speaker- Dr. Anjali Malia, HOD PG Department of English-KGCW- in the year 2021-22.
The Department organized One day workshop on “ Synchronizing departmental objectives with goal of the organization” Speaker- Dr. G. Vidyanath, M.Phil, Ph.D- in the year 2021-22.

Students participated in various INTER COLLEGIATE COMPETITIONS and cultural competitions conducted in the college.
Students participated in Vanijya competition conducted by Osmania University and won many prizes.

Every year Osmania university conducts project report presentation competition for final year students. Our student’s projects were selected and published in journal named M.Com project report digest.
