The Department was initiated in the year 2011 with the noble idea of inculcating technical skills and expertise the students in the field of Electronics. The department offers Electronics at undergraduate level in combination with Mathematics and Computer Science.

The Electronics Laboratory is fully functional and furnished with Lab equipments needed to cover the Practical’s of Electronics. The Department Library stocks about 300 books for the benefit of Students and Faculty. The Department regularly arranges for Field trips, Guest lectures and Exhibitions for the benefit of the students. Students are motivated and encouraged to participate in inter and intra college activities to develop their subject and inter personal skills. The faculty regularly attend and organize workshops, faculty development programs, conferences and field-trips to expertise and enhance their Subject skills.

Faculty Achievements

  • Ms.B.Divya Bharathi has done an Online Short term Training Program on “MATLAB based Teaching- Learning in Mathematics, Science & Engineering” from 18th to 22nd May 2020.
  • Ms.B.Divya Bharathihas has completed an Online Short term Training Program on “INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) & IT’S APPLICATIONS IN INDUSTRY” from June 8-12, 2020.
  • Ms.B.Divya Bharathi, Completed SWAYAM ARPIT ONLINE COURSE on “Teacher and Teaching in Higher Education” on 16-02-2020.
  • Ms.B.Divya bharathi, Published a Paper as a Co-Author on Cascaded Multilevel Inverter using THI method for Electric Traction Drive in December 2019.
  • Faculty are actively involved in Collaborative work of Installing Solar Light in Campus in August 2017.
  • Ms.B.Divya bharathi gave a talk on “Usage of Electronic Devices in an Effective Way” to the Statistics Students as a part of Inter Departmental Activity.

  • Students were taken to Field Trip to Physitech Electronics on 18-01-2020.

Faculty and Students attended a National Workshop on “INNOVATIVE TEACHING – A VIRTUAL LAB APPROACH” at St. Pious X Degree College on 29-08-2018.

The Department organized an Exhibition on working models made by the students and invited Schools and Colleges for the same on 28-03-2019.

COURSE : CIRCUIT ANALYSIS

  • Use basic AC concepts to analyse circuits.
  • Learn the basic concepts of P-N junction diode Zener diode and their characteristics.
  • Learn to calculate the current in an RL and RC circuits
  • Understands and analyses the series and parallel resonance circuits.
  • Illustrate the working principle of different electronic circuits and their application in real life.
