  • Dr.Vijayalaxmi,Head of Mathematics Department,Loyola Academy,Hyderabad delivered a lecture on Number Theory.

  • Department Organized National webinar on “Mathematical Testing -Scope and Applications”, A Software Testers dependence on mathematical concepts to develope a defect free software. The department of Mathematics commemorates Inter National PI Day every year on 14th March .
  • On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Indian mathematical genius, Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan, the department celebrated National Mathematics day on 21.12.2019. The Chief Guest was Dr.Vijaya Laxmi, Head, Department of Mathematics, Loyola, Academy, Alwal, Hyderabad. Students participated in power point and poster presentations on software for mathematics, applications of mathematics etc.

2022-23

  • Department organized Career guidance program by “Magic Bus” to enhance students soft skills.
  • Department organized Career guidance program by Naandi Foundation-Mahindra Pride Classroom ,to develop students communication skills,group discussions and how to face the interviews.
  • And also every year students gave seminars to b.sc students and some schools as part of their academic training.

From 2017 to Till Date

  • The department faculty giving extension lectures to UG mathematics students every year on varies topics.
  • The department conducted “orientation program” for first year students.
  • The department conducted an interactive session on “Applications of Mathematics” by Dr.C.Goverdhan, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Osmania University on 15.02.2019. Students had a good exposure to opportunities in mathematics field as well.

  • Prof.v.kannan, HOD of Mathematics, HCU delivered a lecture on the “space of covergence sequences”.
  • Prof.M.A.Srinivas, HOD of Mathematics, JNTU , Hyderabad delivered a lecture on “visualisation on mathematics” .
  • As an interdepartmental activity with the BSc mathematics department, Ms. Radha Pyari and Ms.Lalitha Lecturer gave extension lectures on Complex Analysis and Numerical Analysis respectively for the final year BSc students on 27.02.2019.
  • The department organized a guest lecture titled ”VISUALIZATION OF MATHEMATICS” on 21st Aug 2017 by Dr. M.A. Srinivas ,Head, Department of Mathematics, JNTU ,Hyderabad. The speaker gave valuable insight about Application of Mathematics in the real world.

2021-22

  • Students and the staff visited “Helping Hands Humanity”-an Orphanage in west maredpally. Students spent time with the children at the orphanage and interacted with them regarding their interest levels towards math. Stationary and bedding items were also distributed.
  • Finalyear Msc students handled mathematics classes of 6th to 10th for one week (21-3-22 to 26-3-22) at Burgula Ramakrishna Rao Girls high school, Barkathpura, Hyderabad .

  • Understand and learn to define, understand the SMS language, differentiate oral and written French, make sure that the interlocutor has understood, ask to repeat/ specify
  • Algebra-It explains the fundamental concepts of advanced algebra and their role in modern mathematics and applied contexts
  • Complex analysis- It is used in analytic combinatorics to analyze the asymptotic behavior of combinatorially defined sequences
  • Analytic Number theory- It aims to study number theory by using analytic tools
  • Cryptography- It is used in data integrity, entity authentication and crypto money
  • Elementary operator theory- It is an extension of functional analysis and it deals with linear, differential and integral operators
