ABOUT THE CLUB

SITEMaP – The Physical Sciences Club was inaugurated in August 2014. Its name is derived from the individual clubs of the departments of physical science viz,

  • Statistics Department  : Statistics Club (SAC – Statistical Analysis Centre),
  • Computer Science Department  : IT club
  • Electronics Department  : Resonance Club
  • Mathematics Department  : Mathletics Club
  • Physics Department  : MResonance Club

Objective : Doing Science Activities is better than Seeing and Listening about Science.

SITEMaP CLUB(Statistics , IT, Electronics, Mathematics and Physics) focuses on organizing programs revolving around latest research in Physical Sciences. Here the students learn about latest developments in the computing and electronics world, conduct surveys and also engage in puzzles and number games. The club hosts guest lectures, workshops, poster presentations and exhibitions. It encourages students to participate in group activities that aim to teach and help students understand the seemingly to keep pace with the emerging technologies.

Sitemap is a hub for all students and faculty who are interested in exploring their creative and innovative side. It operates individually by the respective departments and also collectively under the banner of Sitemap.

A brief report on the individual clubs:

SAC : The concept of SAC club in seen as an opportunity for adaptation to practical oriented learning. Here students learn to get the knowledge and skills to analysis the data. Students attend clubs regularly for their betterment and enjoyment. This is like Supplement Academics and gives practical training which they require in day to day life.

IT Club: IT Club’s mission is to promote latest emerging trends in the field of Information technology among the students by the department of computer science. Activities like Power Point presentations, Code Games, Web Designing skills, Quiz, IT Puzzles, Seminars and Workshops are conducted.

Mathletics : MATHLETICS can be viewed as a playground for students to have fun with numbers and make them creative, independent in thinking & perseverance which enhances their logical thinking and reasoning ability . Engages students and faculty in various number games like Sudoku, Kakuro, Math puzzles, Vedic Maths which is very helpful for competitive exams.

Resonance Club: This club induces scientific thinking and hands on experience by encouraging students to use the principles of Physics & Electronics to build working models. Over the years the club members developed many innovative gadgets like Stressometer, Security Systems, Rechargeable LED torch, E-Rakhi etc.

2019-2020

  • SAC gave an insight to “Millennium Development Goals” called as “Sustainable Development Goals”. India’s SDG’s (Sustainable Development Goals) the goals are Eradicate extreme hunger and poverty, Achieve Universal Primary Education., Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women. Reduce Child Mortality.
  • Annual Sudoku Competition was conducted by the Math club MATHLETICS for staff and UG students.
  • MATHLETICS conducted EUREKA-2020, a National Level Online Test On aptitude and Reasoning mainly to enable students to know their ability to handle a competetive exam
  • Resonance club conducted Science Exhibition on 28th March 2019, It was kept open for students of all cadre.

2018-2019

  • SAC gave a practical approach to students about the application of Administrative Statistics. Students prepared power point presentations on different applications of Administrative Statistics in real life and understood its usage at different levels. They also learnt different methods adapted for administrative convenience.
  • Annual Sudoku Competition was conducted by the Math club MATHLETICS for staff and UG students.
  • Resonance Club Exhibition was visited by Jhansi from Film Industry and Other OGA members.
  • Resonance club students presented their project at All India Industrial Exhibition in ‘OUR STALL”

2017-2018

  • SAC analyzed success story of Amul (Anand Milk Unit Limited) and predicted for 2020. This gave a practical approach to the students in predicting the business. Students played a skit and presented a dance ballet for the song MANTHAN which was written and directed by Shyam Benegal produced by Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited.
  • Resonance club conducted Poster Presentation on 21st August 2017
  • Resonance club conducted Science Exhibition in which 26th August 2017, students from all the faculties and intermediate of our college attended.
  • Mathletics club students displayed exhibits and posters showcasing their creative on the theme “Math in Architecture” and “Mysteries of Maths”

  • IT-Club Organized an IT- Exhibition “Anatomy of Computer” using unused Hardware components of computers by making useable items on 21st August 2017 based Internal parts of computer, CPU Assembling, Mother Board and Memory
  • IT Club conducted Bug Fixing Competition for students on 10th January 2018 to enhance and assess their programming skills. Total 174 students participated in the competition and students were awarded Prizes
