The visit also provides insights into the Budhan movement, the impact of the saree industry on the local community, and various marketing strategies involved in the business.
2. Industry Visit: Ganapati Sugar Industries Ltd.
The first-year students, explored Ganapati Sugar Industries Ltd on10/01/2023. The visit offered insights into sugar production, advanced technologies, strategic layout design, workforce dynamics, warehouse protocols, and sustainable waste management. An invaluable experience, it enriched our students' understanding of industry operations beyond classroom learning.
3. VAARTHA Press Visit
Students toured VAARTHA press, they were introduced to its various supplements and printing process by guides from Acumen connect and the officials from the press. They explored the machine and dispatch areas, noting the impressive 200-300 vehicle fleet for newspaper distribution. The press produces around 700,000 copies per edition, with articles set by 2 pm. Quality checks led to some manual rejections for image or ink issues. This visit enriched students' understanding of real-world business operations and waste management.
4. SEBI Field Visit Summary:Financial planning for young investor
Students from the Department of Business Management at Kasturba Gandhi College for Women visited SEBI for an overview. Mr. Sabir Sawant, DGM of SEBI, provided insights into the basics of stock markets and emphasized the importance of financial planning. He advised students on smart savings and investment strategies to maximize financial growth while minimizing risks, preparing them for their journeys as young investors.
5. Bisleri Plant Visit Highlights

During the educational visit to the Bisleri manufacturing plant, students were introduced to the
brand's history and its range of products. Guided by the officials, they learned about Bisleri's
strategic decision to change its bottle color from blue to green in 2006 to differentiate from
competitors like Kinley and Aqua-fina. The students toured the three main units: water
filtration, bottle manufacturing, and water filling & packaging. The comprehensive process
involves drawing water from a well, followed by processing, organization, and finally,
packaging.
6. Industrial Visit to Pune SaKal Press & Katraj Dairy (5th jan ,2020 to 9th Jan 2020)
Organized by the Department of Business Management in partnership with Acumen Connect's Eduventure Program, MBA II year students, led by faculty Ms. Aruna and Ms. Madhavi, delved into Pune's industrial landscape. At Katraj Dairy, they explored supply chain dynamics, resource optimization, and waste management practices. Their visit to Sakal Media Group unveiled the nuances of printing, handling breaking news, and quality control in print rejections. Beyond the industry insights, the students immersed in Pune's cultural offerings with shopping at MG road, café visits, and street food. Evening musical nights, bonfires, and lessons in self-management and discipline added depth to their enriching journey.
7. Tata Plus Industry Visit
Students received an introduction to the company by the manager and staff, then divided into two groups of 25 for detailed tours. They observed the water purification process and its adherence to BIS standards, with questions addressed by the Resource person from Acumen Connect. The tour also provided an interactive session with the production, marketing, and HR departments, giving insights into their strategies. Concluding the visit, students were tasked with analyzing a case study.
8. Student Industrial Visit to Paper Boat(14-3-2020)
During the students' industrial visit to Paper Boat, they were introduced to the rich tapestry of flavors and innovative techniques the juice company brings to India. Boasting 48 unique SKUs, the brand particularly stood out for its Doypack packaging - a method even NASA employs for astronaut beverages. The visit was further enlightened when they learned of their 2019 collaboration with Tetra Pak, which brought holographic packaging to their Alphonso Aamras and pomegranate juice. Paper Boat's diverse range, from seasonal thandai to rose tamarind, showcased not just flavors but the essence of Indian traditions. students, witnessing Paper Boat's market stance against giants like Dabur India, PepsiCo, and Coca Cola was truly an educational experience. This visit offered us a glimpse into the seamless blend of tradition and innovation at Paper Boat.

During their visit to SEBI, students were introduced to the vast realm of the capital market. The session was designed to illuminate the mechanics, opportunities, and challenges associated with investing in this sector. By exploring the regulatory framework and the key role SEBI plays in safeguarding investors, students gained a deeper appreciation for the complexities of the financial world. This exposure is crucial for budding investors, offering them insights that can guide future investment decisions.

Students toured the Kwality Group of Industries, encompassing Kwality Electronics Industries and Kwality Photonics Pvt. Ltd. – India's premier producer of LEDs, LED Displays, and Opto Electronic Products. Recognized for its commitment to quality with ISO 9001:2000 certification and achieving near-perfect yields, the group boasts an extensive range of over 600 products. Kwality Photonics stands as a leading LED display and power LED manufacturer, while Kwality Electronic Industries, founded in 1987, holds the distinction of pioneering LED and Opto Electronic Component production in India, and remains the country's dominant domestic LED source. The visit provided students with invaluable insights into cutting-edge LED manufacturing and operations.
