The Institution has a prescribed code of conduct for students, teachers, administrators and
other staff and conducts periodic programmes in this regard.

Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct portrays institution’s mission and values. It is a set of rules, regulations and
principles that are given to students, teachers and parents of an institution to ascertain
institution’s principles are met. It creates a safe and structured environment for learning and
also creates a behavioral expectations.
General Code of Conduct for students
- Every student must wear the photo attested identity card .
- Students are expected to be neat and clean and follow the college dress code.
- Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of discipline and dignified manner
of behavior inside as well as outside the college campus. All students are bound to abide by
this code.
- Every student shall be regular and must complete her studies in the institute within the
prescribed tenure as laid down by the University.
- Limited parking space is provided for students and staff and the same can be utilized on
‘first come first’ basis. Students must ride/drive their vehicles into & at the campus at a
moderate speed only.
- Students should use the mobile phones judiciously.
- Students should actively participate in all co-curricular activities organized by the
institution.
- Ragging is banned on the institute campus in all forms and it is a punishable offence.
- Every student shall uphold academic integrity, respect all persons and their rights,
property and safety of others; etc.
- No student will be allowed to take active part in current politics
- Students must not associate themselves with any activity not authorized by the
institution.
- Keep the campus neat and clean. Do not put any waste anywhere in the campus except in the
waste baskets kept.
In Classrooms and Labs
- A six day working schedule from Monday to Saturday with timings from 9.40 a.m. to 3.10 p.m.
is followed.
- Silence shall be observed during class hours.
- No student shall enter or leave the classroom when the session is on without the permission
of the teacher concerned.
- In the events of Student seminars/project presentations etc., it is compulsory that all the
students of the concerned class be present for the entire session.
- Students can leave the campus during class hours only after getting a gate pass from the
Principal, HOD, and after making entry in the Gate Register maintained by the gate keeper.
- If the teacher is absent, the class representative should inform the Head of the Department
for alternative arrangements.
- Students must cultivate the habit of looking at notice boards of the college/departments and
messages in WhatsApp group regularly for important announcements.
- During lab sessions the students have to report to the lab directly and not expected to go
to the class room.
- Students are required to sign the register at the time of entry and exit from the lab.
- Food and beverages are not allowed inside the lab.
- Students should not leave their books, valuables and other belongings in the classroom and
labs.
Attendance requirements:
- Students are required to have a minimum of 75% attendance in each subject.
- If a candidate fails to secure 75% attendance, the college has the authority to withhold her
application form and prevent her from appearing for the university examination.
- Parents are requested to constantly monitor the attendance of their wards.
- Punctuality in attending lectures should be strictly observed.
In Library
- Students are expected to spend their free time in the library to gain knowledge.
- All students are required to enter their names and sign the register provided at the
entrance of the library
- The students should produce the library card before lending a book from the library. The
library card is not transferable.
- Library books are required to be returned by the student on or before the due date. A fine
will be levied after the expiry of the due date.
- Reference books and Journals are not for issue
- Strict silence must be observed in the library and cell phone use is prohibited.
- Food and beverages are strictly not permitted in library
- Students responsible for causing any damage to the book and to replace the book if lost
In Hostel Premises
- The hostel students are advised to carry their identity card along with them while moving in
and out of the hostel premises.
- The main gate of the hostel will be closed at 7 pm.
- Hostel students are not permitted to leave the hostel premises after 7 pm and before 7 am.
However, in case of unavoidable circumstances, they should take prior permission from Hostel
Warden and produce a letter for the same & take the signature of the Principal or Vice
Principal.
- While moving in and out of the hostel premises, the student should make entry in the
“Student Register”.
- Daily attendance will be taken in the hostel. In case of absence of the student without
prior information, strict disciplinary action will be taken.
- No student should change or exchange room among themselves.
- Students will be the responsible for their personal belongings.
- No male visitor is permitted in hostel. If required, the relationship and purpose of the
visit should be informed by the visitor to the Hostel Warden.
- Outsiders including parents or guardian of a student are not permitted to stay in the
hostel.
- Electricity and water should be consumed as needed.
- Any kind of damage to hostel property by hostel occupants will be treated as serious
offense.
General Code of Conduct for Faculty
- Use the biometric / face recognition
- Every teacher shall, maintain integrity, devote full working time to the profession and also
refrain from doing external job that might hinder the teaching.
- The faculty should make continuous effort in their professional development by involving in
research activities and updating the subject knowledge.
- Treat all the students equally and not hold personal grudges towards them.
- The faculty should be punctual to the college and start the classes on time according to the
timetable designed for them.
- The teachers can leave the campus for some urgent work with the permission of the P
- Prior approval in writing should be obtained before proceeding on leave except in the case
of casual leaves. In case of illness or emergency, inform the Principal and the Head of the
Department without delay.
- The faculty should encourage students in all their endeavors’ and complete moral
development.
- Faculty should not use mobile phones during class hours.
General Code of Conduct for Non- teaching faculty (Administrative Staff)
- The administrative staff must be present in the office during the college working hours.
- They should work sincerely for the effective administration of the institution.
- Their conduct should be polite and accommodative towards students and teachers.
- They should support the Management, Principal and teachers in executing all the college work
related activities.
General Code of Conduct for Non-technical Staff/Attenders
- They should be present in the campus 15 minutes before the arrival of the staff and stay
half an hour later to complete their work.
- They should ensure the proper maintenance of the campus, classrooms, labs, canteen etc.
- They should diligently perform the work given by the management, Principal and faculty.
- They should report to chief superintendent for their work related issues.
All Staff (Teaching & Non Teaching)
- They should avail their leaves judiciously, only when needed. If the reason is known they
should take permission from the Head of the Institution in advance in the prescribed format.
If it is availed as an emergency, after reporting to duty they are expected to fill the
format and get it attested by the Head of the Department and Head of the Instituion.
In the wake of the pandemic situation the college follows all the Covid-19 protocols diligently
Safety Measures during Pandemic
- Adequate arrangements of thermometer checking, sanitizers is be made available at all entry and exit points, including the reception area of the campus.
- For ensuring social distancing and queue management, inside the premises, specific markings on the floor with a gap of 6 feet has been adhered to.
- Screening of students, faculty and staff, wearing of face covers/ mask, sanitizing of hands etc. is ensured at all entry points.
- Those having symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty in breathing should not be allowed to enter & should be sent back home immediately.
