Quality initiatives by IQAC (18-19)

  • Timely Submission of AQAR for the year 2017-18
  • Conduct core committee IQAC Meetings periodically to discuss, plan and execute various quality enhancement measures pertaining to academic and administration.
  • The Institution participated in India Today-MDRA Best College stream wise Ranking consecutively for two years. Our Institute is ranked faculty wise as Arts : 53 ; Commerce : 94 ; Science : 73 in 2019 survey.
  • An External Administrative Audit by AG Office was conducted this year which happens for every 10 years and also Annual Internal Administrative Audit by Private Agency G.Satyanarayana & Co.
  • Initiation of Faculty Forum which provides a platform for the faculty to orient the other members with new and relevant subject related concepts.
  • Felicitation of Padma Shri Smt Phoolbasan Bai Yadav, social worker and the founder of the non -governmental organization on the occasion of Women’s Day.
  • Faculty and Students are encouraged to publish and present papers in Journals and Conferences.
  • A Health Insurance Scheme by Star Health Insurance Company was launched for the benefit of staff.
  • General Staff Meetings to encourage brain storming , a regular part of college activities

National Events

  • A Mentor –Mentee Interaction Program in connection with Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) on 28 th June 2018.
  • Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics conducted an Nutrition Awareness Program at St.Joseph’s High School Marredpally. On 11 th July, 2018.
  • An Exhibition by Students of Commerce under Entrepreneurial Club was conducted on 21 st and 22 nd August, 2018 and proceedings of the same were donated to an orphanage.
  • Department of Statistics along with Students visited “SADHANA” a home for mentally challenged orphans and donated necessary items to them on 5 th September, 2018.
  • Sale of Eco- friendly Ganesha idols by Green Club in the campus on 12 th September, 2018.
  • NCC students took part in Cleaning of Hospitals under Swachhta hi seva programme, Government Initiative on 30 th September, 2018.
  • A Gender sensitization programme by “My Choices Foundation – a Hyderabad based NGO for students of all faculties was conducted on 24 th and 25 th January 2019..
  • A workshop for students on “Advanced enzyme techniques (Bromolein and Rennet) and their industrial application” by Department of Microbiology from 9 th to 12 th February 2019.
  • On 9 th February, 2019 in collonaration with Dept. of Commerce, and FDP was organized with the theme “Financial Planning with reference to Budget “ by Mr.Venkatesan, CFA, Financial Consultants, Essar Exim and Financial Services in conjuction with Department of Commerce.
  • Students from Department of Botany participated in UNA run conducted by Zinda Tilsmath promoting Unani Medicine on 11 th February, 2019.
  • On 27 th February, 2019 in Collaboration with Dept. of Commerce , an inter-collegiate FDP was organized with the theme “Company’s Act 2013 & GST”. Faculty from other colleges were also invited for the event.
  • On 6 th March, 2019 an FDP with the theme “Happy Work Place” by Dr.Beena, Psychologist, consultant for YWCA , counselor in Operation Peace Maker.
  • NCC and NSS students volunteered for a run to create awareness about work safety organized by SHE teams on 17 th March 2019.
  • Various Clubs of the college organize events with active involvement of faculty and students. To name a few Exhibits by Social Sciences club, Microbial hair style competition, Fruit carving competition, Anemia Mukt Bharat – Nutritional Awareness Program, Chem-Mehendi, Exhibits of Animal By-Products from Bio-club, Science exhibition, Sudoku competition from sitemap, Consumer awareness program from consumer club, Tree Plantation – Haritha Haaram by Green Club.
