About:

Kasturba Gandhi Degree and P.G College for Women established the Post Graduate Department of Computer Science in the year 1993 with MCA(Master of Computer Applications) an AICTE approved course with an initial strength of 30 students. The Department bloomed in terms of student strength, infrastructure and other amenities, in 1998 M.Sc (Computer Science) was introduced. This has widened the horizons of the department.

The success of the department lies with the faculty who have committed themselves into recognizing the needs of industry and motivating the students to high levels of performance. Department has MOU’s with organizations through which we send the students for internships & certification programs. Our students won ten University ranks. Students also won OGA Gold medals almost every year. Most of our students got recruited into top MNC companies like TCS, infosys, Amazon and Wipro. The Department staff has strived towards imparting quality education to the students by honing their creative, intellectual and personal skills. Our staff keep presenting papers in National and International journals to learn and update themselves. They also attend seminars, FDP , Guest lecturers and workshops to cope with the upcoming technologies.
